Anti-Bullying
Many kids get bullied in school and it is a serious problem with students today. I think the presentation of bullying was very good and interactive. The girls showed us a video on bullying where kids had on their one hand the thing they got bullied about and on the other hand how they overcame the bullying. It was a cute video because I remember one of the boys hand said "they called me gay since I was seven" and the other hand said "and I am". It is good that he is proud and stood up. I liked how the girls presented and showed us that bullying just isn't calling someone a name, it can by physical or mental, what a person looks like, or doesn't look like, it can be to make a person feel intimidated, by either talking rude to them or not even talking to them at all, like ignoring them, and the thing that surprised me the most was you can bully your siblings. I have two sisters and a brother and I would never want to hurt them on purpose but I have bullied them before, so I was surprised about that. The speakers made me feel like everyone has been bullied before and everyone has bullied other people too, so could all relate to each other and what they were saying. The speakers had us get on either side of a line on the floor and if the question or phrase related to you then you would stand on the line. The phrases varied from saying you have siblings to saying you have ever broke the law. This exercise showed you that other people were like you and that some were different. The exercise that I enjoyed the most was the one where every student in the class had a paper with their name on it and the paper went around the room and every student would write something nice about that student on the student’s paper. It was nice to get your paper back and see nice complements from your classmates. I wish we had this presentation earlier in the year so we can connect with the other classmates earlier, and I would have really liked it if everyone was in the class was present that day. I really enjoyed this presentation because many kids get bullied and some commit suicide because they can’t deal with the bullies. Earlier this year a kid that went to my High school killed himself because people were bulling him. Not only did this boy suffer from bullying, now his friends and family suffer too. Bulling is a serious problem because this can be a result. No one wants to feel like he or she doesn’t belong and the girls did a great job presenting bullying to our class. I like how they got us involved and did exercised to show us that we all have similarities and differences and at the end of class we got complements.

2041
When I wake up for school, a conveyer belt will transport me to the bathroom and to my closet, which spins my wardrobe 360 degrees. The walls in my bedroom change colors correspondingly with the music that's playing and can change with my mood. Then, I walk outside and a hovercraft will take me to my classes. Inside my class, the teacher is on a television screen teaching the class from Japan. We don't take notes, we have an app, that translates what she says onto your personal computer. If you have a question, you can call the teacher and communicate through a hologram. Then, going to get lunch, a robot comes up to you while you're sitting and you order anything you want and he'll make it and deliver it to you. Next, you go home and chat with your classmates virtually and ask each other questions. You get one hour each day to go to the spa and get relaxed, you can get a massage or pedi-mani. After you're all relaxed, you can go play games outside like baseball with a robot. He'll pitch the ball with 100% accuracy to you. Then, you go back to your room and the conveyer belt takes you to the shower and in the shower you can play music, change the water temperature , change the water pressure, and flickers colorful dancing lights, with a remote control. Then, you stand outside the shower and blowers dry you off. You won't have to worry about doing your hair, because each person has a robot that will do any hairstyle you want. Then you go lay down and your bed rocks you to sleep, like a baby.

This advertisement is of a person’s hand making a cow shadow on the wall and at the bottom of the ad is the vegetable soup at hand, meaning that inside the soup, is real beef. If was to see this ad, I would buy it because I would want real beef inside my soup. This ad would persuade people to buy the item because it has a cow and soup so people would think there is real meat inside the soup and buy it. I don’t think it is manipulative because they do use real meat, but it may not be quality meat.

my ecological footprint
I would need 4.9 planet Earths to provide enough resources for me, and to support my lifestyle, I would need 21.8 global acres of the Earth's productive area. The areas that I used the most were transportation and food. I think of an ecological footprint as how many resources one person uses and if those resources are renewable, Like paper and plastic. This footprint calculator showed me how one person can make an impact, like if I was to recycle my plastic water bottles. It also showed me that I used a lot on transportation, to try to improve that I would love to get a Chevy Tahoe hybrid, but that is not realistic, so I can carpool with my friend, Aaron, on the weekends we go back home, instead of driving separate cars, so we can save gas. I’m glad that I saw my ecological footprint because I had no clue how my lifestyle could impact the Earth. It makes me want to recycle more often and conserve water. I never thought about the process of how the food got to my plate from the farm before and it makes me aware that everything I eat comes from a different place. Like the food needs to be transported from the farm to a grocery store which takes gas and a lot of electricity and then I drive to the store and use up more gas. I could tell my mom to start a garden in her backyard to help with the ecological footprint. This week I will recycle all my plastic water bottles, because i drink a lot of water and always throw them away, or I can use a refillable cup from now on to reduce my plastic waste.

About Me
Hello, My name is Samantha Jenkins, but I prefer to be called Sammy. I am 18 years old and a freshman at Florida Gulf Coast University. My major is undecided. I am from Cooper City, Florida, If you don't know where it is, it's near Ft. Lauderdale. I live in Everglades Hall. I chose to go to Florida Gulf Coast University because it is the closest school to my house and I get home sick sometimes. I have two sisters and one brother. I am the second oldest child. I'm a Leo. I love traveling to Italy, it's so beautiful there and has great food. I love spending time with my family and friends. I love going to Disney World and the beach. I worked as a camp counslor in the summer in Miami Beach. I love boating and camping out. I love the outdoors. I want to go white water rafting and skydiving someday soon. I've been slogging in the Everglades with my friend Aaron a couple times and it was such an amazing expirence that I will never forget. I love pickles and Italian food and cheese sticks. I love Taylor Swift, she's so beautiful and perfect. I love trucks, especially Ford. My favorite movie is "A Cinderella Story", I also like the "Saw" movies and "Jaws." I like dinosaurs and wanted to be a paleontologist when I was younger. I went swimming with the dolphins, they were so cute! I love spending time with my friends. We like going to the mall, Rapids Waterpark, and just spending time at home hanging out. I don't like when people are mean to my friends and I feel very protective over them. I am thinking about joining a sorority on campus. I think that their programs are so nice and it's a great way to meet people. I like walking and riding my bike to explore the campus. I am looking forward to the upcoming years at Florida Gulf Coast University, and meeting some really cool people in the process. If you ever see me around campus just say hello.
